Maputo is where everyone used to visit from S Africa. Mozambique was a Portuguese colony so was widely spoken there. Little did I know then that I would be speaking portuguese later in my life. Brazilian style!

Sadly Mozambique has been in conflict for as long as I can remember. Certainly when I lived in S Africa in the 70’s it was a place to stay away from. The above pic is of displaced people due to war —taken only weeks ago—-today is Aug 18th, 2021.
